Welcome Winter!

Hello families of B5!!

It was a very busy, but amazing first four months of the school year! We have all worked hard to progress towards reaching grade-level standards. We have a long, hard six months to go. I have no doubt that all of the students will succeed, especially with you extra support at home. Remember to have your student read good-fit books for at least 20 minutes each night (the more, the better). Also, encourage them to share what they are doing in class with you.

Please have a wonderful holiday! I will see you all back in class on January 3, 2011!!

Already Hard at Work!!!

We are already hard at work, here in B5. I appreciate all of your support at home. A few reminders:

• your students signed planner is due every morning, I will stamp it to show that it has been checked. Please write total minutes (20 minutes or more) and sign your name in the yellow box. If they read and return their planner each day, they will be allowed to attend the WOLVES icecream party!!



• Math homework starts tonight. It is due the day after it is assigned. Please check your students work.



• Home Story Journal is due Friday morning.



• Spelling homework is due Friday morning.

Welcome back to school! I hope you all had a great summer break.

Please check this blog for news and upcoming events. Also, I love to post pictures of what we are up to in B5. Please send the bright pink paper (it will be in the Monday folder) back to school with your student as soon as possible so that I may start uploading pictues!

Happy Summer to you all! So sorry that I have not posted in.... a very long time!!! So much to do, so little.... you know what I mean!

I hope you are all enjoying your summer. Please remember to keep reading as often as possible because third grade will be here before you know it!
